Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives formed to manage the administration of Panchayati Raj institutions. As far as a Grama Panchayat is concerned, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and carries out day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat.
