Grama Panchayat

President

The chief administrative head of the Panchayat. Leads development activities and administrative functions.

Vice President

Provides support in administrative activities. Performs administrative responsibilities in the absence of the President.

Standing Committees

Committees responsible for development, finance, health, and education-related activities.

Panchayat Secretary

Assistant Secretary

Supports administrative and office functions. Coordinates Kudumbashree activities, welfare schemes, and Scheduled Caste development projects.

Head Clerk

Handles day-to-day office administration, file procedures, and supervision of staff.

Head Accountant

Manages financial transactions, income and expenditure accounts, budget preparation, taxation, and financial records.

Senior Clerk

Coordinates office records, administrative procedures, activities of various sections, and file verification.

Clerk

Handles files and records. Manages tax collection, applications, office registers, and ward-level services.

Office Attendant

Provides office assistance, transfers records and files, and maintains office arrangements.

Brief Description of Major Components

1. Grama Sabha

The general assembly of the people in the Panchayat. Discusses development projects and public needs and submits suggestions.

2. Grama Panchayat Committee

The governing body consisting of elected representatives.

3. President & Vice President

The main administrative leaders of the Panchayat. They provide leadership for governance and administrative functions.

4. Standing Committees

Work in areas such as development, finance, health, and welfare.

5. Panchayat Secretary

The Secretary is the chief administrative officer of the Panchayat. Coordinates office administration, file procedures, and overall governance activities.
